GPS

GPS has been a wonderful tool to have while traveling on Outreach. I love having GPS, it makes life on the road so much easier, but GPS, really, what were you thinking when I was driving back to Richmond from Lynchburg and you told me to get off of the main highway and go down a 2 lane road and then to turn down a no lane road that eventually turned into a gravel road? What were you thinking when you told me to drive through the Appomatox Buckingham State Forest instead of staying on the main road? Did you malfunction or did you just think it was funny?

Oh, yeah gotta love GPS, especially in moments like the one you described! I love when my hubby and I go on a trip that we have done dozens of times, but he insists we use the GPS and it tells us to a different way, even though we know it is longer, has more stoplights, etc. Then he gets angry when it turns out we should have gone the tried and true way. Yeah, gotta love GPS...

No really, it is great, but sometimes you just have to tell it to shut up and go a different way.
